Saturday night The Hubby and I watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind on our cable box. I really enjoyed it. I had heard goo things about it so I was looking forward to watching it. (MrQ kept making me massage his neck and back during the movie and it was distracting. ) I really enjoyed the twists and turns. Jim Carrey really is a wonderful actor and Kate Winslet is just so beautiful to look at. Of course - every time I saw Elijha Wood on screen I thought “Hobbit” but what can ya do ;) Basically it’s a love story. Clementine goes and has all her memories of Joel erased. Joel, upset and depressed, goes and has the same thing done. Most of the movie is during the night of the erasing. The film, which takes place mostly within Joel’s mind, follows his memories of Clementine backwards in time as each recent memory is replaced, and the procedure then goes on to the previous one, which is likewise seen, and then erased. Once the process starts, however, Joel realizes he doesn’t really want to forget Clementine, so he starts smuggling her away into parts of his memory where she doesn’t belong which alters other things about his memories as well.
Last night the hubby and I went to a friends place for chicken fajitas and video games. After all that we watched a movie called The Boondock Saints. I’d heard about this movie, but didn’t really know what to expect. I was pretty sure it would be a load of ultra violent crap. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Irish brothers Connor (Sean Patrick Flanery) & Murphy (Norman Reedus) McManus live and work in Boston. Feeling that God’s will to rid Earth from all human Evil was given to them as a mission, they set out to do their divine deed. A public outcry is never heard, and even FBI agent Paul Smecker (played brilliantly by Willem Dafoe), who follows their trace of bloodshed, admits that the boys are doing exactly what he secretly always has wished to happen. Risking their lives for their beliefs of Veritas (truth) and Aequitas (justice), the Boondock Saints are hyped by the public, for they are doing good, which only few dare to admit. The movie is done really well. The editing is really cool and it’s the little things that are great. The boys are fraternal twins and they are nearly mirror opposites. Their tattoos are are mirror each other and one is left handed and one is right handed. I was really glad I was wrong :) When I went to IMDB to find info about this flick I found that a sequel is in production. Boondock II: All Saints Day. Can’t fucking wait! :)
Your guide.
