I started the week just a little tired - then thought I had tonsillitis - then came to the ultimate realization I had mono.

the story goes like this....Sunday night stayed up very late doing my taxes and talking to my friend Nicky online. (private dancer) So I got about 4 hours sleep. I was pretty tired all day - but nothing that didn’t fit with the 4 hours sleep. Towards the end of the evening my throat was a little sore and it hurt to talk. (Good thing Alice is deaf and we sign to communicate.) I worked until 10pm. Came home and was freezing! I was in bed in a t shirt, a sweatshirt, sweatpants, socks and under two blankets and I was still shivering! After about two hours I finally just passed out from exhaustion. Woke up round 4 - thinking maybe I wont be able to go to work today - but I’m gonna wait and see. Woke up round six - thought “I KNOW I wont be able to make it to work today” - so I called in. I slept ALL day - literally didn’t get outta bed till 6:00. I had severe stabbing pains in my throat whenever I swallowed - so that sucked. Didn’t get into the Doctor till 2 on Wednesday - she says “you have tonsillitis - I’m gonna send you to and ENT specialist and see if he agrees that you need them taken out. Lets do a mono test and strep test too, Take these antibiotics. See ya later.” So I get all of that done then I go see the ENT guy on Thursday. He says - what were the test results - I say I don’t know - so he calls. The mono is positive and the strep isn’t back yet. So he gives me steroids, different antibiotics and some decongestant. He says I DON’T need my tonsils out. I am INCREDIBLY relieved! ;-)

So I have mono and I’m really tired. It takes me forever to get stuff done and I am not hungry either. Sometimes I have to force myself to eat. And most times its Jello or some sort of juice. I did however eat some Popsicles last night - yummy yummy.

here comes the bride...we’ve FINALLY set a wedding date! I went at paid the deposit this morning on the wedding site/reception site. The wedding will be August 3rd, 2001 at the Cotillion Room at the Ballet Conservatory. I am so excited! Now I have to..wel...do everything else :-) We’ve got DJ connections, and we’re doing the food ourselves so there are some things that are pretty much in the bag. It’s still going to be a lot or work - seeing as that is is only 16 weeks away. I’m so glad that I am doing this my own way..and not going by the conventional wedding planning book! :-)

Got the weekend off! YEAH ME! :-) I am on call, but it’s been relatively quiet - knock on wood. I’ve had only really one call to deal with. I been doing laundry and cleaning most of the day, and I will continue doing that most of the night. When you work literally for two weeks straight your room becomes a pig stye and even though I am messy, I’m not THAT messy. I’ve already done 4 loads of laundry and I’ve got two more to do.

Well I’m off to shower and do the dinner for the 13 people we are having over this evening. I love Costco! :-)

I’ve been working so much lately, like literally around the clock that I haven’t had time to do much of anything. Literally on the 30th of March I was asked to work with this new client, and I’ve been with her since then, save about 60 hours. I got some time off on the 31st, about 12. Then some time off on Wednesday 3 hours. Thursday 8 hours and then I left Friday at 9:30p and was off until Sunday at 10:30pm. It’s been insane. It will be nice big check, but still. My social life is suffering. *cackle*

We are *this* close to having a wedding date for our wedding. I am so excited. We are trying to find a date so we maximize the amount of relatives that can attend. It’s looking like July 27th or Aug 3rd. Hopefully by the end of this week we will have it set :-)

My birthday is in a month and 8 days. Gotta get to planning the party. It’s on a Thursday, so I will prolly have the party the weekend after. I may do the whole dessert thing again, im not sure. My friend Ash still owes me dinner out for missing my party last year. It’s funny :-) we were supposed to go out last Thursday but I didn’t get off work until like 10 so we didn’t. Maybe this week.

I am SO looking forward to the 20th! It will be the biggest check I’ve ever received.

SHIT!! I need to do my taxes!! CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP!! Hopefully I will be able to go home soon. I do like staying with Geri, but its just cause shes so cool! :-)
