today on the radio I heard this DJ, who just got back from the middle east, say “Even if you are against the war, don’t protest. We need to know, as solders, that you are behind us.” It struck a chord with me.

Lets say, for the sake of argument, I am Anti War. More specifically anti THIS war.

“I will not support the people involved with this war, because I am AGAINST the war. I cannot support the people who CHOSE to get involved with the military. No one has been drafted in 30 years. If you joined the military, you did so on your won volition, knowing you might do things that the general public wouldn’t agree with. I will not support YOU doing things that I do not approve of. Would you support ME if I was doing something that you didn’t approve of? I didn’t think so. So why expect that of me? I don’t agree with people who kill abortion doctors, but they need support too. I cannot support people willy nilly because they need it. If are doing something that I don’t agree with I am not going to support you, no matter how much you badly you say you need it. I will not. And more importantly, I can not.”

if my life were a movie it would need a soundtrack. here are a few songs that I think need to be on that soundtrack. I am making a new category with this post and will periodically add songs to this soundtrack.

This song represents how I feel about God. This song represents how I feel about life. You can’t wait forever to say important things. You may never get the chance. It’s hard to live this way - I don’t always get it to work. But its a good plan anyway. :-)

so, SO, true. The reason this song is on the soundtrack seems to be pretty self explanatory.

I realize that this song is about abuse but in Hawaiian my name IS Luka and my sophomore year of college I lived on the second floor. Oh yah...from the time I was in second grade until I was a sophomore in high school my bedroom was on the second floor of our house.

I am the same way. I am misunderstood a lot. People say I am complicated...I’m not really. I’m insecure so I react weird to things sometimes. People don’t understand me. It’s not that complicated. (Plus..this song SOUNDS cool!)

I am such a contradiction in terms. I can go from one end of the spectrum to the other end in a matter of minutes - but then right back again. I am a crazy girl.
