come on boy, obey me

The Mr Q&0153; did get the car fixed.  which means i can work tomorrow.  oh joy ;) but..I did have the whole day off today - which was cool ;) I didn’t really do anything besides watch TV and organize photos for my photo blog.  Resizing them is fun ::cool::

Ive been in the habit lately of naming posts with lyrics from the song I am currently listening to....anyone care to take a guess at which song this is?  (the answer is in the extended entry....

Apparently Sunday night River Chicken is playing at the Mug. I think I might actually try to go. Haven’t seen them play in a long while. Just hope that asshole Bill isn’t there.  How did I NOT See that one coming?!  Anyway...it will be fun to see Vern and Tony, and Mike, and John and Brain (yes brain and not Brian) again. Prolly Shannon too ::cool::  Oh...and Maybe a Rob. But definitely no Holly since she doesn’t work at the mug anymore…

changing blogs

Do you have a blog?  Do you watch trading spaces?  Would you want to play “Changing Blogs?” Sort of a trading spaces/changing rooms played out in the blogosphere. I think that would be a super fun thing to do.  I wonder if I could get people to play.  Basically....this is how I think it would work.

Person A makes skin for Person B
Person B makes skin for Person A
Peoples A & B get no say in their new skin/layout and must agree to leave it for 24 hours ( or maybe a week..I dunno.)

It would sort of be like guest posting, cept we would post on each others blogs, but make skins for each other.

Think you would be game?

blue blue

My friend Steve requested that I make a skin with a little more “edge.” I believe that he picked the image for the newest skin “blue blue Betty Page” This skin is set at the higher resolution of 1024 by 768. It’s also totally NOT WORK SAFE. It features a drawing of the lovely Miss Betty Page and it’s a little suggestive.

classic combination

i was talkin to someone to today.... telling them about my website...i was bragging, just a little, and telling them what to expect when they visit.  Telling them that I had 12 skins, and how the archives are set up, all that jazz.  And you know what they said to me?

“you have way too much free time on your hands.”

I bit my tongue and moved on, cause I didn’t want to fight with her or even talk heartily or anything.  But it really got me thinking....

Being a blogger is important to me. It’s something that I make time for. It’s something that I choose to do. I don’t watch much TV. I spend my evenings glued to my computer, rather than the TV.  What the heck is wrong with that?  Yah...my house is a mess, and yah my children are starving..no wait...that’s not me.  Let me get back on track here.  Oh yah...I love to blog. It’s super.  Free time isn’t a negative. It’s a positive thing. I enjoy my free time.  I use it how I want to.  And if I want to design skin after skin and make multiple posts a day, what’s to stop me from doing that? Who you?  And what army?  No, seriously. Maybe they were just jealous, that Ive got all this free time to make all this cool stuff?  I dunno

it just rubbed me the wrong way....i guess.

a car hater today

The Mr Q&0153; overslept today. As a result I had to take him to class at the mall.  On the way home I stopped 3 times along the road, for about 15 min a stop, for the car to cool down.  The 4th time I knew I had to stop, I pulled into the Perkins parking lot, parked the car, and the walked onto campus to take the shuttle home.  Then I promptly passed out, clothes on and everything, on top of the sheets with Kayce on my hip.  I slept until like 4pm, 3 hours.  We just got back from picking up the car, and a new water pump. The Mr Q&0153; is waiting for the car to cool and then he’s gonna replace it. I SOOOO hope that’s all that is wrong with her.  Can’t take much more of this crappy car shit!  the best part about today was the fact that I figured out how to get home, ALL by myself - with NO money and no way to GET any money. It’s a good thing that I look like a student ;) and that I knew the rules of the shuttle service.  ::laugh::

for david/phentermine

David
here is a tip for you.
don’t post the SAME thing on two different posts that are both over 3 months old. One being from July 28, 2003 and the other from July 26, 2003.  It’s a LITTLE late to be bitching about the fact that you don’t think I know what I am talking about, and that you don’t believe me, and that it’s cheap.  Dood!  Get a grip on reality here.  You were posting on 1, a post about Bob Hope, and 2, a post about my daily horoscope.  If you haven’t got anything better, go away.

2. In a confused manner.

vote over

I retired “The Wonder Years”, “(excuse me while I) kiss this guy” and “Learning to Write” and I added the new “Trick or Treat” Halloween skin - it’s the new default as well.  I also added a new skin - called Don’t Cry, I love you!.  Thanks to everyone who voted. ::smiley::  If you notice any problems with the skins, please let me know.
