I hate shopping at K mart. Sometimes they've got cute stuff - yah, but it's always so dang hot in there. lordy. Just trying on clothes I get all hot and bothered. It’s ridiculous. I did however get a cute yellow tie died shirt on clearance, which makes me totally happy. The girl at the checkout, she had on a green shirt and green eye shadow, was all excited about tie dye coming back in fashion. It’s true though; tie dye cycles in and out of fashion. I like it better when it's in
I didn't look good in yellow so much when I had brown hair, but now that I’ve gone red, I look pretty good. I think anyway.
it's a cute little top. Apparently a client who fired me a while back said that I didn't dress professionally enough, or something. I think it's just the easiest thing to say. I don't think the way I dress (jeans and t shirts) has anything to do with. I’ll just make sure to dress up a little bit on days when I’ll be meeting with other professionals. Or something

Today is Anthony's 42nd birthday. Go wish him some goodness!
i got an email today from orkut with the most interesting saying inside. the subject was "value of a woman"
This is written in the Hebrew Talmud, the book where all of the sayings, laws, and preaching of rabbis are conserved over time. It says:
"Be very careful if you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears. The woman came out of a man's rib. Not from his feet to be walked on. Not from his head to be superior. But from the side to be equal. Under the arm to be protected, and next to the heart to be loved."
I thought it was just too beautiful not to share.

everyone gets pimples right. they are just a natural part of life. but i was thinking - are there different names for the different kinds of pimples? i know that we have black heads and white heads, right. black heads are imbedded in the skin, into the pore, and the look like little black dots. then white heads are pimples with a white head on them, and they are filled with puss. but there are about 4 different kinds of puss. what are the puss' called? when you go to the dermatologist do they have different names for the different kinds of puss? or are they just white heads and white heads. this is how I break it down - (puss talk in the extended entry - don't read if you don't want to get semi grossed out. fair warning given i'd say.)

saw the movie "the order" tonight. it was trippy and cryptic. i enjoyed it.
Alex Bernier (Ledger) is a member of an arcane order of priests known as Carolingians. When the head of the order dies, Alex is sent to Rome to investigate mysterious circumstances surrounding the death. The body bears strange marks on the chest which may or may not be the sign of a Sin Eater (Furmann), a renegade who offers absolution, last rites and therefore a path to heaven outside the jurisdiction of the church. Alex enlists the aid of his old comrade Father Thomas (Addy) and of a troubled artist (Sossamon) upon whom he once performed an exorcism. He soon finds himself plunged into a mystery only to find himself at the heart of it.
sometimes after watching movie i feel...all..weird. like watching ella enchanted i felt like i had just been freed from obedience. after watching the order i feel like an old soul. like I've lived a very long time - stepped in catholic mysteries. steeped in the mysteries of life ever lasting. see. i told you i feel weird. it can happen after any movie too. i can totally understand why movies effect people. it's part of the reason I don't want to see the passion. i fear it would jsut affect me too much. i don't need that much angst and...well..pain in my life.

I was bored so I watched Le Divorce on the teevee. It...was...well...French. or something. It was just a weird movie. I can't even say really whether I liked it or not. It had a myriad of famous faces in it though. Kate Hudson, Glenn Close, Stockard Channing and Sam Waterston to name a few. It wasn't really what I thought it was going to be, but it wasn't bad either. It was mostly about French vs. American culture - which was interesting to watch, but still not quite what I thought. It did make me really hungry - as they had all these montages of food. That was really the best part - the food montages. It wasn't a comedy - and I think Kate's best when she's funny. I don't think I would watch it again. There's this whole thing about the sisters divorce and the French laws regarding it. Then something about a painting that was important to the family. It's a movie based on a book so I think lots of things got left out. That's how I felt watching it - that lots of things were being left out. I wasn't getting the whole story. I couldn't even really care about the sitsters cause I barely knew them. It felt like 1/2 a story or something. It was very pretty though - France is great scenery. And the food. It always comes back to the food for me doesn't it?

my birthday is only one month from today. im so excited*. i will be in my home town visiting my family and a few friends. we leave on the 13th and stay till the 18th. on my actual birthday we're going to go to our undergrad campus just to see how different everything is. we're having a (mostly family) BBQ on the 16th for my birthday - and I am also really excited about that. The Mr. Q™ said that he would make pulled pork - and that's alll sorts of yummy. My cousin T called me last night and she said that we're planning an all girls night on the 15th. We're actually gonna have all the girl cousins there - that's the plan anyway. There are 9 of us now, we're hoping we can get 7 to come along. It should be tons of fun.
*to that end I added a completely shameless plug about my birthday to the by-line. if i get presents cool, if i don't, that's cool too. hopefully i will get lots of people to tell me their birthdays though.

today The Mr.Q™ was playing with our cat Kayce. The sun was shining through his glasses onto the wall and she was totally chasing it. It was great. I managed to make a video of it. In fact, my very first video since getting my precious™ in December.
Kayce's first movie
