Even though it’s waaay early....and I’m waaay sleepy...I’m doing a little happy dance. A little happy, it’s my birthday in exactly one week dance!  It’s never to late to get in on the birthday joy, and spoil me. I did finally cave and I opened the presents my mom sent me.  A coloring book (it’s wicked!) and a book called ”Eats, Shoots & Leaves.” Also she sent me a pair of headphones that have a ”sweat guard mechanism” - and they are cool too.  I got another package in the mail yesterday, and I have to assume it was from my mother, so I didn’t open it.  I had to hide it too, so it wouldn’t mock me and make me open it.

My birthday’s in a week.  My birthday’s in a week! 

Yesterday we got gas paid 2.21 a gallon for regular unleaded. A year ago we were paying 1.81 I’m pretty sure my tank is about 12 gallons.  I pay nearly 5 bucks more to fill up my tank that I did a year ago. And with all the driving I do for my job, I fill up twice a week usually.  I was watching Cnn today and they were saying something about how the movies aren’t making as much money this year as they were last year.  Well, not shit.  If I pay 10 bucks more a week for gas, one of the first things that are gonna go are the movie trips. Hubby and I haven’t been to see a movie since Christmas time.  We’re, of course, going to see the return of the Sith movie when it comes out on the 19th, especially since it’s 2 days after my birthday - but other than that we’ve got no plans to see any movies this summer.  (Likely - any that I DO want to see - I will just wait the 3 or 4 months it takes for them to move from the movie theater into DVD’s. Then I will just put it in my netflix queue.) It’s just too dang expensive to hit the theater anymore. Tickets cost us about 12 bucks, then we spend at least that much on snacks. It’s cheaper all around to just stay home.  :) Don’t you think? What are you paying in your neck of the woods?

I’m sure you’ve read about it already, but early this morning there was a school bus on car/truck accident in Missouri. {full story} Hubby and I know just where that accident was. We saw the pictures of the car and truck and I was quickly freaked out. The car - a red Lincoln - looks JUST like his mothers car. I told hubby he should call. He said that he did call but no one was home.  He didn’t leave a message either. After they showed the car, again, on CNN, I decided I would call.  His mom was home, and we talked about it for bit. Funny thing - she was at the grocery story that sits in the parking lot near the accident. She didn’t see the wreck but she talked to people who did see it.  I’m totally a worry wort about shite like that - and I fully admit it. But it sure was nice to hear her voice when I called. :)

ooooh.. Today is 05/05/05.  Also it’s Cinco De Mayo!

Still can’t sit at the computer for too long. It’s freaking insane.  I can walk much better now, but this chair is the pits.

I updated my radio.blog today. (The link is in the sidebar - in the Navigation section.) I put my Mixmania play list on there. There are 17 songs on there - can you GUESS why? ;) LOL I’m not going to put the play list up yet - that takes too long. I will later though. Just check out the music and see if you can tell whats songs they are :) I tried hard to make the songs flow too, and tried to pick ones that people might not recognize right off the bat.  I think it turned out pretty well. What do you think? (Now I just need to get a nice burnable CD and mail this baby off.)

I feel like I should buy a lottery ticket. Since 5 is a big-ass-pink-ass number for me.  I was born in the 5th month.  There are 5 in my immediate family.  I am 5th from the oldest on my mother’s side. My mother is the 5th from the youngest in her family (6 sisters.) I am 5th from the youngest on my Fathers side. He is 5th from the oldest (4 sisters, 5 brothers 0 -yet another 5.) I predict I will have 5 kids too.  (Quinn isn’t my given last name either. It’s my adopted internets one. Now you k now why for that too.)

Not Opening these two other packages is freaking killing me internets. KILLING me!

Tonight’s Smallville was a total blow off eipsode.  I can’t believe we’ve just got the finale left.  I guess It’s good I am signed up with Netflix. I can watch movies all summer. A movie a day! :)

Anyone else having issues with Bloglines today?I keep getting logged out when trying to view blogs. I will click on a blog, then it will say I need to log in. It’s fucked up. Anyone else having that happen too?
