Thanks for the visit and post to my site.
I answered your movie quote in my comments. I believe the quote came from “Big Fish”
Hmm.. if I had an extra $200 to spend, I’d pay off bills...no.. wait.. that’s not allowed.. ;)
Okay.. let me see…
It isn’t so much that you could be really extravagent, like take a long vacation around the world. But it also isn’t so small an amount that you couldn’t enjoy yourself.
I’d probably use it to buy something for myself that I’ve had my eye on, but never bought because it was always a situation of “when I get some money or don’t have bills to pay, I’ll buy this for myself.”
That, or I’d just get the $200 all in nice, clean, new $1 bills.. Put them all on the floor and roll aound in them pretending I was Scrooge McDuck ;)
Happy Friday to all of you !!! I’m Paul from Postcards From Metro Suburbia and Luka lives upstairs from me LOL.
Hello hello :)
I’m gonna follow your suggestion Luka and go a bit down memory lane. I’m gonan talk about a song taht brings bittersweet memories to me. It’s “I will always love you” by Whiteny Houston.
When I was 17 my parents got divorced and my mom left for Germany. I didnt manage to go visit her untill a year later. When I did, I found her having a new relationship, living with another man. For some reason I got jealous, I felt neglected. I was about to stay one month but the daily arguements made me wanna leave earlier. One day I was thinking how close we were before and how we have become. And I that song was playing on the radio. “If I should stay I would only be in your way. so I’ll go but I’ll know I’ll think of you in every step that I taake. And I will always love you...”
I started crying.I wrote the lyrics of the song on a paper, I gave it to her and I left.Up until this day this piece of paper exists in my mothers wallet.. and whenever I hear it I remember that day.. that moment.
Happy Friday to all of you !!! I’m Jenny from It’s All Greek To Me and Luka lives upstairs from me LOL.
p.s Luka the cpanel theme is one of the standard ones..but I like it cause it’s easy on the eye.
When we were kids, we used to put our portable cassette recorder next to our house speakers in order record the top 40 countdown. One summer afternoon, three of my best friends (who also happen to be my cousins) and I were out in my front yard dancing and rockin’ the best we could to that portable cassette recorder. Cheap Trick’s I Want You To Want Me was our favorite song until Donna kept playing it over and over again. I told her not to rewind the tape again because I wanted to hear the rest of the songs we recorded. She replied, “I love that song because I want to be able to sing it to Markie E. I love Markie E.”
“EWWWWWWWW! That’s gross! Markie is our cousin!” was the collective reply.
We were all pre-teens at the time and to this day every time I hear that song I think about Donna being in love with Mark.
It’s almost time for the Blogathon. I was recently reminded of last year’s Blogathon’s theme song:
BTW, I just unleashed my newest skin upon the Blogosphere...let me know what you think!

As If I need ANOTHER teevee show to watch! David Boreanz (Angel) is back on this fall on a Fox show called Bones. It’s premier date is Sept 1st and it’s on at 8. (Which means it’s up against Gilmore Girls - oh how I love my DVR. I am very excited! :) Boreanz plays Seeley Booth “a former Army sniper who mistrusts science and scientists when it comes to solving crimes.” Hopefully it’ll be good! :) I love seeing David in the sun - it so rarely happened on Angel and Buffy - him playing a vampire and all. My teevee lineup is as follow, just for my remembereances sake.
Sun - Charmed, Family Guy, American Dad
Mon - Wow. A free day
Tues - Gilmore Girls, Bones
Wed - Lost, that 70’s show
Thur - Smaville, Joey, CSI, ER (veeery busy night now with the move of Smallville to Thursdays)
Fri - Stargate sg1, Stargate Altantis
Sat - nothing...yet ;)
I really don’t think I can add any shows to this list. We also watch General Hospital every day, and also The Daily Show. :) Didn’t want to add them though since we watch them every day. :) Course over the summer we are watching GH, The Daily Show, Dancing with the Stars and Lost. The stargates start in little less than a month now, for which I am very excited. What shows do you watch?
I don’t really have much to say. I’ve been busy looking for a picture of an exgirlfriend because it seems a few people don’t believe that I went out with a Mexican girl who was a natural red head. Once I find it I’m then going to post it on my own blog over at www.vundi.com and show all those suckers. Of course, since my scanner is busted I’m going to have to take a digital picture of a regular photograph. Now I ask you, how stupid is that. Oh well, I should be going. Later all. Love ya Luka, I’ll stop by again tomorrow.
Hi, from that not so cold land (right now, in winter) called Chile.
For this FFAF, I’ll answer this question:
If you had an extra $200 that you didn’t need to spend on bills or debt, what would you buy with it?: (And no “saving it”, you gotta spend it)
200 bucks are almost $120.000 CLP here (a looooot of money for me). If I had that money, I’d buy a 256 DDR RAM module, another hard drive (40-60 GB maybe), a CD recorder, 100 CD-R. Also, I’d buy a box with something like chocolate big pills (2 cents each one), and I’d make a black T-Shirt (mom said me “Don’t worry, I’ll pay your T-shirt”, but I’m still waiting)
That’s all for today. See you next month ;)

So today we went and had the estimate done on the car. We found this place because our very reliable car mechanic told us to go there. It’s gonna be the cheapest around since we’re playing for this out of pocket. So, the estimate took about 15 minutes. The estimated damage to repair the damage to our car - $1,500. Wanna know how much we paid for the car when we bought it back in March of 04? That’s right - $1,500! We may be able to save some money by going to the junkyard to get the parts we need, and doing some of the work ourselves, but it’s till gonna be about $600 even with all of that. And who knows if we’ll even be able to find the part we need. Every time I look at the back of the car, and think about what they want to fix it, I just laugh. And laugh. And laugh. It keeps me from crying about. Fifteen hundred fucking dollars!! There outta be some sort of program that you can apply for benefits for if you’re involved in a hit and run. I mean - I’ve got insurance to cover anyone I hit, but I can’t afford full coverage. I’ve NEVER been able to afford full coverage. It just sucks be donkey...well..you know....that some Jackass hit us, took off, and now is sticking us with a 1,500 repair bill. Oh. Oh. The laughter has started again.
