I got my hair cut yesterday. I really just wanted a trim, so she ended up taking a little bit more off than I wanted, but that’s ok. She also did something to the front/sides tht I don’t like so much, but it doen’t look bad. I really liked the style my hair had before and while this new one isn’t a WHOLE lot different than it was before, it’s enough that I notice. I did measure it yesterday. It’s 12 inches long from the top of my head to the end of it in the back. I then measured it to where my goal length - just below my shoulder blades - and I’ve only got 9 inches to go. Sweet! That’ll be nice. The best part of the hair cut was when the stylist complimented me on my hair color. My hilights she said were done really well. She said that most times when people do their hair themselves don’t have it come out so well! :) Neat, huh? Course I can’t take all of the credit. I think that since it was a whole kit - the name of which i can’t reacall - it’s pretty hard to screw up. Still. It DOES look nice :)
Last night I changed the ringer on our phone. I put the theme song from Aqua Teen Hunger Force on. Our phone has this neat feature where you can record clips from your computer into the phone and then use that for the ringer. It’s a neat feature of the phone. We’ve been using it since we got it. (This is a regular land line cordless phone - not a cell phone.) Anyway. I didn’t tell my husband about it - he was asleep when I did it, and asleep before I left today. I was hoping to surprise him, so when I got home from work I called the house from my cell and it started to ring. He wasn’t as nearly excited about it as I though he’d be. Bummer! At least the fact that I did it using only the Spanish instruction booklet impressed him.
I’d done it before, but didn’t remember how. So I looked for the booklet. I could only find the Spanish one, so I used that. It took a couple of tries, but I got it done. It’s wicked. When our phone rings, I just sing along. That may be an issue at some point, but we’ll see! - Get if for yourself

ode to 200 dollars
if i had two benjis,
there is so much I would do,
first i’d buy a latte,
and then go to the zoo.
at the zoo i’d taunt the monkeys,
and make faces at a gazelle.
i’d sing loudly to the penguins,
and tell an ostrich to go to hell.
i’d give the zebras the finger,
and grab a tiger by it’s tail.
the rest of the 200 dollars?
would probably go towards my bail!
I know for a fact that I could never live without music, any form any style dosen’t matter. It always has a calming effect on me and just makes things peaceful all over.
The second thing I wouldn’t want to live without well it is going to sound cheezy but it is but it is true and that is good friends. I figure if you have good friends and some music...and hopefully some booze you are bound to have a good time.
Happy FFAF

Name two things from a category (or categories) that no one’s life should be without: songs, literature, movies, poems, snack foods, places, websites.
Okay, I’m kinda stuck here. As for snack food, everybody should have egg noodles in their cupboards, they take 3 minutes in a pan, throw on some spring onions and soy sauce, and you’re done. I can’t think of anything else, but you can stick an oxo cube in when you cook noodles, then it goes all soupy...that’s good too.
Places you should go would have to be London, it’s so weird, plus you should go soon, because the delightful mayor is taking all the real red buses off the streets :( and for my number two, Paris. It’s a beautiful bustling city, and somewhere I want to spend longer. Ah, la vie belle. And I’m not sure if I can spell…
Phill - Free for all is languishing on blackheart too
Heya everyone.
The first suggestion is a rather tough one. There are just so many songs, each and every one of them a great song in their own right. I don’t think I’ll list everyone of them. It’s way too long, and besides, it isn’t allowed. ;p
1. I’ll have to give it to “Lighten Up” - Morcheeba. A new band I only just begun to listen to. This is one up-beat song. Good for when you’re feeling down. One of the first songs from the band which I listened to, and became the first one to “grow” on me.
2. “Love will keep us alive” - Eagles. When everything else seems to be failing, when all that could go wrong actually did. Just when you think that all hope is lost, just remember that no matter what, it is love which will see you thru.
Thanks for dropping by my site. Happy FFAF.
Another month, another round of guest blogging! I always hope there’s a suggested topic, but you always manage to give us more than one! Yay for you! :)

Ok, here comes the list:
Songs:
“Listen to Your Heart” by D.X.T. They do this acoustic version that I heard on the radio last week and immediately downloaded Napster specifically to download. Several of us around the office have fallen in love with the song all over again, fifteen years after we fell in love with Roxette’s original version! ;)
“Over the Rainbow” by Judy Garland. Because if you’ve ever heard that woman’s voice, and you haven’t gotten the chills, there’s something odd about you. I’ve heard many versions of the song over the years, but I prefer it when she goes all out with the glory notes, personally.
Movies:
“The Lord of the Rings Trilogy” directed by Peter Jackson. I had never read Tolkien’s books until after seeing “The Fellowship of the Ring”. I fell in love on that day in 2001, and I took the journey right up until Oscar night in 2004. So much detail was put into making these films - they’re just awesome. Plus, you get the added benefit of a dirty, scruffy, hot Viggo Mortensen ;)
“The Breakfast Club” directed by John Hughes. A Brain, an Athlete, a Basketcase, a Princess, and a Criminal. Still one of my favorite movies. Still the one I will sit down and watch every time it’s on tv, just so I can quote it.
Websites:
Television without Pity, because the recaps are snarkalicious, and the forums are sometimes even better. I have spent hours reading theories on LOST, rags on Constantine Maroulis, and all right, I’ll admit it - the entirety of the Ashlee Simpson forum.
IMDB, because it’s always there when you see a familiar face in a movie and need to scan the credits to find out why they’re familiar. I can’t tell you how often I refer to it.
So, that’s my list for the day. Hope it’s of use to someone! :)
