I cant quite describe this flavour. I’m drinkin a green tea blended creme. It’s really sweet. I am not sure i like it. I do wish it was a caramel frap. Now, those i LOVE. At least i know for next time.
I had the most horrible thought last night. What if a Hurricane comes the weekend of the Blogathon and my power is totally out and I can’t post. Ack that would suck. As far as I know there’ not even a Tropical Storm headed our way, so I think I’ve relatively safe. Oh god. I just had another horrible though. What if I just jinxed it?! Ack. *knocks on wood. then her head. the the table the again*
I’ve been rolling around post ideas and contest ideas in my head for the Thon. Figure I should have some stuff that will draw people in, and not just make them read my crappy writing over and over. ;) I’m not quite ready to share these contests, I may wait till the day of to make the reveal. I am NOT, of course, pre writing my posts. That’s illegal. And we all know I never do anything illegal. ;) But, seriously, I’m not pre writing anything. Just rolling ideas around in my brain. Which is mostly space, but whatever. ;)
So, this guy keeps showing up in my dreams. This guy that I met as a sophomore in HS. This guy whos prom I went to our senior year, in a limo. This guy who met a girl from Australia while serving in the Marines and moved there in 2001 to marry her. Happy for him, totally. Miss him, absolutely. I’ve no idea how to contact him or why he keeps showing up in my dreams. They are pleasant enough, but MAN, do they make me miss him even more. He’s starting to creep into my day dreams too, which isn’t entirely unusual, he’s been there before. I just wish I could find him, so he wouldn’t just be in my head - but that I could catch up with him and his life now. I wonder how he’s doing. Does he have kids? Is he still in Australia? What’s he doing now? All that jazz. I’ve done multiple Google searches over the years and found nothing. It blows. I don’t even know if he remembers my married name - so even if he was looking for me he might not be able to find me. Ack. Who knows if he even thinks about me at all. But I definitely think about him.
I’ve reached my sponsorship goal of $150. Whoo hoo! :) Now I am going to change my goal to $250! Whoo hoo! :)
I’ve still got plenty of Origami Premiums left. Won’t you check out what I am offering and make a pledge! :)
Oh my dog. We’re watching the Daily Show right now. I’ve got some....feelings about tonight’s guest.
I very very VERY much dislike Senator Santorum. He makes me very very angry. Everything coming out his mouth is foul and hateful. It’s vile and evil. He makes my head spin. Ick. Must stop his from talking in my head now. So I will share the words of my friends around me.
Comments from the peanut gallery.

On the way home from work today I stopped by the Library to drop off some books that are due tomorrow and also pick up a few new ones. I was going to sit and write a post from the computers at there because I just think it’s neat that I can do that, but there was a wait and I didn’t feel like waiting. I wanted to get home to my hubby my kitties and my left overs. (I’m freaking starving.) The universe had other plans. Shortly after I got into my car it started to go BANG BANG BANG. At first I thought it was the AC so I turned that off. It didn’t stop. I tried to drive it thinking, ne hoping, that it would stop. It didn’t. Before I even got out of the parking lot the battery light came on, and my ability to turn the wheel greatly diminished. I backed the car up into a parking spot and called the hubby. I told him what happened and he told me to open up the hood and check if the belt that had been squeaking was still there. It wasn’t. So our friend Ana is going to bring him to me and he’s going to fix it. I’m just happy we got in touch with her so fast and that I am at the Library. I get to sit in the nice cool air and play on the Internets. At least for 14 more minutes (cause that’s when my time is up.)
Updated to add : The car is all fixed. Hubby is my hero! :)
Sleep and I haven’t gotten along lately. Fri nite I was up till like nearly 7am. Slept till 3p on Saturday. Didn’t feel sleep or go to sleep until about midnight last night. I was up about 34 hours. And when I DID go to lay down last night, I laid there for an hour tossing and turning and not f’ing falling asleep. But, when I got up this morning, I felt rested and refreshed. It’s been nice. Course I did open the next door neighbor girl’s cable bill, again, but no matter. See, hubby brought the thing into the house the other day and this morning I went to open it. I didn’t even bother to look at the name, cause I assumed that he had. Yeah. After I ripped it open and saw the amount I realized it wasn’t mine. I guess I should have left her a note, but whatever. This is the second time they’ve done this too - put her bill in our box. She must just have basic cable - her bill was like a f’ing fraction of what ours is. We’ve got basic cable, digital cable, DVR (tiFaux) and digital Internet. We pay more to the cable company that we do to our electric company. We could have digital phone with them too, but it’s cheaper to use Vonage. Muuuuuch cheaper. (Also - if you’re thinking about switching to Vonage - let me know. I’ll send you an invite and then I will get like 2 months free. I can always use free phone service.) I knocked on her door today to give the bill back, but she’s a day time worker I guess cause she wasn’t home. I need to remember to say something to her if I see her. I won’t remember even if I do though. I’m forgetful like that.
So, I’ve less than two weeks until the Blogathon. I’ve got $25 bucks in pledges, and my goal is $150. Leif suggested that I make or give something away. He’s such a smart kid, ya know. I’ve decided that my premiums will be Origami. (Maybe some MixCD’s but I’ve still got to think about that.) There are several kinds of Origami to pick from based on your pledge amount.
Basically it works like this - You pledge X US dollars to Amnesty International and (if you want it) after theblogathon I will send you a hand* made piece of Origami. You just need to email me , or commend on this post, after you pledge and let me know which Origami Premium you want.
