A Week Is Just Too Long To Wait
Avatar for {name}

Yes, the fall season has officially started for the WB and UPN. Now my withdrawl systems of not being able to see my favorite programming can subside.

So far Gilmore Girls, Superman (I call it Superman and my friends know what I’m talking about, but it’s really called Smallville), America’s Next Top Model, Half and Half, and Girlfriends have started.

I’m very surprised at the direction the WB decided to take with Rory Gilmore...can’t say I didn’t see it coming though, Rory was just too darn perfect.

Tom Welling is still gorgeous. Oh, wait, I think I’m supposed to be talking about the show...I forgot to pay attention because I was too busy staring at Tom Welling. On a completely unrelated note, I think it’s pretty funny that a 28 year old man is planning a 17 year old high school student...I wish life was like t.v. because it would mean I really could stay 21 forever.

Girlfriends left me a little broken hearted because Toni and Todd have decided to divorce. I really was hoping they’d work it out.

I hope Tyra yells at another model this season, that was too funny last time, I nearly choked on my juice when I saw that.

Half and Half is just funny - nothing new, exciting, or out of the ordinary there - except Mona blogs now.

I’ve been watching a new show called Supernatural and haven’t decided whether or not I like it. At this point, I’m only watching it because it comes on right after Gilmore Girls.

I am still suffering a bit of withdrawl because OTH hasn’t started yet, that’s next week, well 5 days. I really can’t wait to see what the writers come up with for this season...if it’s anything half as dysfunctional as last season, I’m sure the masses (to include myself) will be pleased.

The only drawback is the one week waiting period between episodes and their insistance on ending right at the really good part and throwing up some “to be continued...” b.s.

That’s about it for the fall line up for me...btw, it’s Teli from Mild Insanity. I’m hosting a FFAW (Free For All Weekend) for anyone who’d like to pop in and leave a note.

the correct lyrics of songs are overrated.  i feel that it is a more artistic expression of who i am when i make up dynamite lyrics like:  “and i don’t know what goes in here, but i’m gonna keep singing because you, mr. idiot driver sir, are dumb!” or the ever classic:  “move outta my way… get outta my way....  HEEEEEY look over theeeerrrrrreeeee....  MOVE IT!” the beautiful thing about these lyrics is that they can fit into any song!  so if i’m in a jazz mood.. i can fit them along with some classic jazz tune.  or if i had fifty-gazillion people ask me to fix their ipod while at work.. i can release this stress with some hard rock music and sing lyrics like “don’t be dumb. and don’t get mad at me for being dumb.  and stop complaining that you have to wait to get your ipod fixed.  blah blah blah dumb.”

see.  not knowing the lyrics can really free you from bondage of ‘the man’.  express yourself.  don’t sing the right words.  ever.

traysinging sining off.  (btw.  go free-for-all it over at everymoment.org)

Something Lost In Translation?

I’m actually pretty good with English lyrics, but as my tastes have started gravitating to non-English songs, the lyrics I keep screwing up are because my tounge just won’t do what I hear.  That, or the Romanized versions I use as a pronunciation guide bear no resemblance to what I hear.

What is 6 + 0?
What is 5 + 1?
What is 4 + 2?
What is 3 + 3?
What is 2 + 4?
What is 1 + 5?
What is 0 + 6?

Think of a vegitable…

Fourty Four Hundred Random Events

My TV choice this autumn is, apart from a new series of Friday Night With Jonathon Ross, The 4400...If you missed the first series, which was on last year, then you seriously missed a treat. The yarn so far is that 4400 people are returned to modern Earth in a blinding flash of light. They have special abilities, all sorts of exciting things happen, and two agents are sent to investigate. It’s based around Seattle, and anyway, at the end of the first series we found out that they came back from the future to save mankind. So what happens next, I have to wait and see.

Oh, by the way I’m British, so unless you have Sky One, it’s probably over and done with on American TV :p and for those of you who have no idea who Jonathon (Woss) Ross is you are also missing out, and I don’t think you’ll have a chance of finding him...aww! Anyway, he has a friday night chat show with big name celebrities. We used to have two, Parkinson and Friday night… and Jonathon Ross was always the funnier, plus his house band are great, so that’s my one to watch…

Here’s a tip for tonight US peoples: The Robinsons is premiering on BBC America, as far as I know it’s on cable, and the times (which hopefully make more sense to you than me) are 9:40pm et/10:40pm pt. It is an excellent comedy, it’s been shown already over here, and you can find out more here.

Come and join in the fun at black-heart.co.uk, FFAF madness continues inside!

SHOWS?!
Avatar for {name}

I am really, really getting into Veronica Mars this season. Once they figured out who the killer was they could get on with the task of really developing Veronica’s character. Also CSI: NY. I love this show but I think they got rid of my favorite guy, Carmine Giovinazzo. Can anyone help me with this? I hope they did not ditch him cuz he’s a cutie.

Groovin’
Avatar for {name}

So the song Groovin’ by the Young Rascals, it’s on the Apollo 13 soundtrack.  Before I was into the oldies like I am now, my friend and I were in to Apollo 13 (this was about 7th or 8th grade).  We loved that song and towards the end we’d always sing…

...life would be ecstacy, you and me and Leslie...

Of course, we had no idea who Leslie was!  We thought, why’s she horning in on this wonderful relationship?

And, of course, the real lyrics are…

...life would be ecstacy, you and me endlessly...

I Am A Lost Addict
Avatar for {name}

I bought the whole first season of lost on dvd so that I could catch up on all the episodes I may have missed. There are 6 discs and I stayed up for days (like two) just to finish watching it all before the new season began. I spoiled my self by being able to go from episode to episode so now that I have to wait a week in between I feel as if someone has pulled my life support plug.

I am addicted and don’t want help.
