brain droppings

After I got that bullshit with work cleared up, I actually had a nice evening.  Got caught up on my General Hospital , did some laundry, smoked a bowl.  Was nice actually.

Still have some Trivia left.  Only one regular question, but the other one is SO wicked easy. You can win 15 credits just for posting three little things. And you don’t so much have to THINK about them at all.  It’s wicked easy.  I don’t understand why people won’t play, free credits are always good right?

Oooh. My grandparents sent me a gift card to Barnes & Nobel. Ya know, to be honest, I don’t even know where one of those stores is, in location to me. I think there might be one in Brandon. Actually, I think I bough my purple planner there this year. I went with A-S-S-H-O-L-E there. But it could have been a Borders too, I’m not even sure. Oh well.  I might order something from them online instead of going to a store.  Hubby needs a book for his dissertation, maybe I’ll get him that.

Damnit. I still want Sushi. And I still need to get my oil changed.  Whoops. Oh well. :-)

the most amazingly fun trivia game ever

Since it’s a Holiday today, at least in the US, I figured I’d do something a little more fun with the trivia. We’re doing Audio! :-) I’ve mixed stuff up a lot today. We’ve got several regular trivia posts, several audio posts, and several music quote posts.  Don’t forget to leave your BE Screen Name so that I can send you credits for playing! Also - the music posts - either song title or artist will be acceptable.  (20 credits though if you get both.)

  9. The Very Last “question.” You’ll need THIS LINK too, to complete this one.

Now, I can’t tell if you can cheat by using Blingo or Google, but YOU can. So. When you make your guess I will assume that it means you didn’t cheat. Thanks! It’s an honour system of sorts. (Unless noted that “cheating” is acceptable.)

Scooter McGavin’s Unofficial Top 5 Cover Songs of All Time
Avatar for {name}

1.  Hurt - Johnny Cash (Nine Inch Nails)
2.  The Ghost of Tom Joad - Rage Against the Machine (Bruce Springsteen)
3.  Where Did You Sleep Last Night - Nirvana (Ledbelly)
4.  Have a Little Faith in Me - Joe Cocker (John Hiatt)
5.  Can’t Get Enough of You, Babe - The Afghan Wigs (Barry White)

Honorable mentions to All Along the Watchtower by Jimi Hendrix which is technically a cover, but everyone forgets Bob Dylan did it first and Carrie Underwood’s version of Guns ‘n’ Roses Patience which I just recently heard.

And for the record, David Essex was the one who orginally sang Rock On, it was also covered by some soap opera star in the 80’s who’s name slips my mind.

Couldn’t Resist The Offer of Posting Here!
Avatar for {name}

I couldn’t resist posting an entry to someone else’s blog.  What am I planning to do this weekend (since you asked)?  It’s not memorial day weekend here (I’m in the UK but it is a Bank Holiday on Monday (for Whitsun I think).  Tomorrow I’m doing the family thing and then Sunday/Monday I’m just planning to chill.  It’s the first weekend in about three weeks I’ve not been on the go the whole time - spent last weekend in Madrid.  My chilling plans include writing some poetry, taking some photos and maybe starting to read a new book.  Of course, sleep is pretty high on the agenda too.

My blog is much more interesting than this post would make it seem… its nearly 1:30 am here but i’m one of those people who has huge issues getting off of the computer and into bed!  So I’ll shut up and if you want to read more by me check out my blog at wheelchairprincess.com/blog

Films - why I get so involved
Avatar for {name}

Well, i’m here as a guest, doing my bit for FFAF.

Well, as the title suggests, this is about films.  I couldnt think of anything else so this will have to do, oh and forgive me if I wonder off the subject, it happens!

Last night, I went to see X-Men 3.  Now, since its new out, I will not give anything away as its unfair to you, plus you should go see it.  I found it quite enjoyable, even though some others have said that it wasnt as good as they were hoping.  It helps if you’ve seen the first 2 as it has a bit of a story line like all films should have.  Now, it was a bit sad and things but the sadness seemed to fit in the story.  Also, someone who I went to see it with, said that some of the story was changed from what it was in the comics.  Some characters were there, some were changed.  It was all a bit wierd.  Anyway, I thought it was good and like everyone else throughout the film, wished I was a mutant of some kind.  I’m not sure what I would want as my ‘mutantage’ but it would have to be something cool like turning into tin or going through walls.  That would be cool.

Now, I also want to see the Da Vinci code.  It came out last week and although some critics have said its complete pap, I would like to go and see it for myself.  I absolutly loved the book and I really cannot see why everyone is taking it all so literally.  Its a book, a fiction one at that so really, nobody should take it to be true.  I am someone who doesnt like films from books though.  The Harry Potter Films were absolute pap compared to the books as they missed out vital information.  I’m hoping that the Da Vinci Code has not done that as everything in the book is a clue.

Also, I have heard they are making a Fraggle Rock film.  Now, I dont know when.  I dont think its going to be this year but if it does come out, I will one of those who go to see it.  I am such a fan of Fraggle Rock.  For those who dont know about fraggle rock, follow this link HERE and find out about it.  Its well cool.

Ok, I have run out of things to say!  So I shall bid you farewell and say come visit my blog (follow the link through my name - woo)
