Our cab driver was late, as he was at the wrong apt for like 20 min.  Then he drove like a bat out of hell to get us here. We had like a 30 sec wait at the checkin, and then about a 10 min wait through the checkpoint. I am sittin here eating a Nathan’s hotdog and drinking a caramel frap using the airports wireless.  I’m even plugged into power so I’m not gonna die really quickly.  Well, again, cause It went to hibernation after about 3 min last time I had this up.) We’ve gotten seats right next to each other, which is cool, but kind of a bummer cause we were gonna go and get a spliter last night so we could watch a DVD together, but we saw that our seats WEREN’T next to each other, but across the isle from each other. But now we don’t have the stuff and we ARE sitting together. Oh well. I’m too tired anyway. I didn’t get any sleep, so I’m sure 3 seconds after I get comfortable, I will be asleep.

Winter here we come baby!

Yay! Today is the big day. In little less than half an hour....no wait, that’s Princess Bride.  In about three hours I will be heading to the airport, to sit in “wide leather seats” and eat “fresh baked chocolate chip cookies”.  I am not terribly looking forward to the weather in KC.  It’s supposed to nice and cold, and rainy and cloudy to boot.  Best winter weather. /end sarcasm I’m really looking forward to seeing my mother, father and brothers. ALso my in laws, aunts, uncles, grandparents and the plethora of cousins that I havent seen in just about a full year.  I was last in KC on Dec 31 2005.  I still need to change the message on my cell phone, and finish packing up my crafty stuff and my personal hygiene stuff, then I’m all ready to go.  I’m using husbands laptop right now, cause I’ve already packed mine up. Stupid one carry one rule.  I just hope that my big bag doesn’t weight more than 50lbs. Cause that’s the max and I don’t wanna have to pay money. Grrr.

Oh shit.  I still need to call the credit card companies to tell them I’m going to Missouri.  Don’t want to cards to get cut off cause there are charges coming in from Missouri. 

I am totally loving this show called “The Bad Girls Club” it’s on Oxygen.  Its a bunch a skinny bitches living in in a house being tape ala Real World style. It’s fucking insane.  I was worried I’d missed an episode, cause this one is at least a week old, but when I checked by TiFaux and the one tonight, at 10est, is totally new. Sweet.  It’s totally stupid, vapid, and ugly.  Today’s episode is all about Ripsi.  First off, her name is totally perfect. She got RIPPED. I mean, she started drinking Tequila at like 9am - three shots , to “cure her hangover” and then it just got worse and worse.  She went bat shit crazy. Attacked two girls, for pretty much no reason, and then the next morning she claims that this was “the first time something like this has ever happened” but that she doesn’t remember a min of it.  That shit is funny as well. I mean, really.  The best part is that I can watch it while doing other stuff, like work, which I am doing right now. Or at least I am trying to. The only work-work I need to get done is this thingy for my boss - so she knows what to do with my clients while I am gone n stuff.  I still can’t believe that I am leaving day after tomorrow!  Aiiiii!  I still have loads of things to go that aren’t work related.  I declare it now though, I will not be going to sleep Wednesday nite.  There’s just not enough hours in the day, dammit. And on Friday I’ve got to go shopping for...lemme count...11 presents.  I’m not thrilled by that, but if I can get them all done on Friday, I will be :-) Woot Woot.  I need a drink.  Where’s Ripsi’s Tequila.

Although my blog may look abandoned and pretty pathetic, I did not die or otherwise remove myself from the world. (Don’t ask me I don’t know what I mean either. I’ve had three hours sleep.) I’ve spent a great deal of time working on other projects this week.  The big one being The Official Saturday Morning Show Blog. Not only have I gotten a sort of slap dashy layout up - but I’ve actually gotten some pretty damn useful things up. Now that I’ve got my “business cards” I certainly need to spruce up the URL I’ve shared on them. Which is, for the record, http://www.thesaturdaymorningshow.net/.  The two big pages that I’ve gotten set up - besides the “about” page which I copied from the main ThatStation Site - are the Show Archives and the ”how to listen live” tutorial.  On the Show Archives page I put a table with all the shows, their themes, their length, a right click save link for the download and a Tiny URL to the Thread I wrote about the show on the ThatStationForums.  My forum is just called the Luka Forum.  The ”how to listen live” tutorial is a little sparse a the moment, but it should help explain how to get to the show live with iTunes. I’m still working on that section. :-) Other than providing a convenient place for all the downloads and show information, I don’t really have any big plans for that blog.  Just moving nearly all SHOW related stuff over there, and making a convenient hub for which people can get information about or download the show.  That’s pretty straight forward, no?  Oh, maybe some other bigger plans when I’ve got room in my brain for them. I will be back on the 16th, so don’t fret too much.  My laptop - the one I call the Blue vortex (of teh suck) is still i the shop and thus I do not have access to a decent computer on which to do my show. No music, no audacity; and a computer that get’s all frizzy with just some firefox tabs open. It’s no good. So, I’m taking this week off.  I’ll be back on the 16th doing the All Request Show, so please get your requests in now! :-) I’ve gotten some really good ones, and I’m really looking forward to this show! :-) Speaking excitement about shows!  The show on the 23rd with be co-hosted by my parents, Annie and Papa Biz! We’re taping the show on Friday nite the 22nd, roughly from 7CST to whenever we get done.  I’m still trying to decide if we wanna do a full three hour show or just stick to the more manageable 2hour format. The show will broadcast on Saturday morning as usual, it just won’t be live. I’ll try to be in the chatroom, but I’ll only have dialup access (teh SUCK) so it might not be possible!  Both my dad and mom hang out in the chatroom during the shows each week, so it should be pretty funny. Mom’s the first voice you here every show too! She did my stinger music, and I’m hoping to be able to have some of her music to play for you!  Dad’s a terrestrial radio DJ, and this will be the first time we’ve co hosted a show together. It’s all momentous n stuff! ;-) The theme : of course, since it’s the 23rd - Holiday Music.  Xmahakwanzika to be precise! :-) I’ll take requests for that as well people, so - comment here, comment on The Show Blog or .  My plan for the show on the 30th - is - well - ambitious. :-) I;m going to try and record lcips with various family members between the 23rd and 29th, and then edit the whole show together - or at least into playable pieces - before the show in the morning of the 30th. I’ll be in KC still - but at MY parents house, so it’ll be cable connection. I can broadcast the show live at 8:00am - since it’s Central time there; (It’ll still be 9am Eastern;) from there. I’ll be in the chatroom and following along, just like all of you! ;-) If I fail to get all the clips, I can broadcast myself. I bet the show’s even funnier at 8am instead of 9. lol ;-)

Sadly, there won’t be trivia today.  I have to take my laptop into the shop today, and I am sure as to when I will get it back.  I cross my fingers, and toes, that it’s by Thursday so I have some time to get my show ready for Saturday. All they need to do is fix the power port on the back, but with their track record, they do good work and take a long time.  So I’m keeping my fingers, and my toes, crossed that I get this monster back in time! :-) I certainly won’t have it back today though, so no trivia. It’ll be back on the 12th :-)

So, this Saturday I’m doing an All Request Theme on the Saturday Morning Show. I know I usually wait till Thursday to share the theme, but since I need your input I’m doing it today - Monday.

So, here’s the deal. I’m doing all Request Show - hopefully next week - possibly on the 16th if I can’t get my computer back from the shop in time.  I haven’t done one before because I always thought I didn’t have enough music.  I actually still feel that way - I’ve just decided to bite the bullet and buys ones I don’t have.  I’m working on a full play list now, so you’ll be able to see what I’ve got. But even I don’t have it, I’ll try to find it so I can play it! :-) Any Genre, any artist, any title! :-) Of course, being me, I’ve got to “Luka” up a bit.  :-) Basically I want two (up to six) requests from you, on this theme.
