a newish layout

Ha.  So, I updated the default layout.  Reset to the new default here. Note of caution - I think something might be farked with it in IE. I guess I should fix that. Muthertrucker!

Fixed the main IE problem. Been tweakin the layout too. Trying to shrink down the sidebars.  Cleanin’ it up. :-)

She said, “i’m worryin’ outta mind” (bam-ba-lam)

Some of the email notifications for comments have gone into the spam. I’ve marked them as such, sent them back to the inbox, and replied. But it’s still irritating that they go there. I hope I can get that worked out before the ‘Thon.  That would get wicked old, wicked quick.

Doing a “From the Luka Vault, double shot” show this week.  All from CD’s from the mid 90’s.  Tune in, turn on! :) (9am EST Saturday) There’s some Tori, some Madonna, some Liz Phair. That right there makes the playlist perfect! :-) No, I’m kidding.  But, still - it should be a good show. I hope you tune in!

I said in my last vblog that I only have 3 days left of work. Turns out that’s not true. Yesterday was the last day that I will see clients. Technically it means I don’t have a job anymore, but since I’ve still the files, the phone, and work to do to update the files, I still have a job.  Not that I can bill for any of the hours I am going to put into the files but that’s one reason why I’m leaving the job. :-) I did cry when I left my last clients place yesterday.  It’s sad when things end and change, even if we want those endings and changes.  I feel kinda bad for Fred though. She was SO lookin’ forward to the pool party that’s to be held tomorrow. But, like I told her, change is good. :-) It’s not always what we REALLY want, but change is good! :-)

I should go get my work done huh - ugg.  I’ve got the whole day and there other things I want to.  I gotta stay focused. Then I’ll have, pretty much, have all the time in the world to complete my various projects.  Not the least of which is to clean and organize this desk. Now with all the cords and add ons, I need SPACE and I’ve got things piled like a foot high practically. I’ll have to do a before photo.  It’s awful. :-)

my flickr watch list

I love Flickr.  There a lot of pools and streams that I like to watch. This list was generated by Bloglines, which is what I use to keep track of the feeds of those pools and streams that I like to watch.

the little incense peddler was here

I just heard on CNN that everybody, EVERYBODY, is talking about the Paris Hilton interview.  I wasn’t aware. But heres my comment.  “Yay. You’re outta jail. Now, make a difference. Make a change at least.”

I got my webcam this week, and I figured out just this morning how to fix the sync problem.  Horray.  Now I can video blog. I am incredibly excited.  Also, It’s got this cool feature where it will take a still photo every X seconds for as long as you want.  That on is pretty cool, Ive played with that a couple times.  I’ve also signed up for a stickam account and will likely be using that in upcoming shows.  I may wear my wig to cover up the bed head though.

I totally have to do laundry today.  I’m at the point where I’m where clothes that are so old and ill fitting that I’m either swimming in them - or I’m practically naked they’re so skin tight.  Either way they’re totally inside outfits and I HAVE to find something to wear outside today.  Actually, a way to solve this - go swimming while doing laundry.  We’ll see. It kinda sounds like rain.  Which would really make doing laundry sucky but I’d still have to do it. Remember, no clean clothes.

I’ve got the last episode of Big Love on my DVR, I’ve got Plagues & Pleasures on the DVR (it aired on the sundance channel), we watched 6 episodes of Mork & Mindy (the 1st season - horray for netflix) last night, we’ve got a shit ton of old Voyagers too.  It’s a full DVR. Maybe on Sunday, when I don’t have a job anymore, we can spend the day clearing it out! :-) We’re also gonna get Casino Royal from Netflix soon, should ship tomorrow. We only have one at a time, so we try to watch it and send it back as soon as possible.

today, the empire is silenced

Why? In 18 days this is what you could be hearing when you tune into your favorite Internet Radio Station if something isn’t done RIGHT NOW!

Thousands of Internet radio stations and channels across North America are going silent today (6/26) as part of an industry-wide “Day of Silence”. The landmark event is designed to draw attention to impending royalty rates that threaten to virtually shut down Internet radio as a medium.

The future of Internet radio is in immediate danger. Royalty rates for webcasters have been drastically increased by a recent ruling and are due to go into effect on July 15 (retroactive to Jan 1, 2006!).

To protest these rates and encourage you to take action and contact your Congressional representatives, we are taking part in the Day of Silence, by silencing our programming for today.

We ask that you excuse the interruption of our normal programming, and ask that you take action to help ensure this silence is not permanent. Please call your Congressional Representatives today. Click the link below for instructions how.

Go to SaveNetRadio.Org To Help keep MPYR and thousand of other stations from becoming permanently silent!!

THANK YOU!

ugraded new and improved

Horray. I updated my EE and now I am using 1.6 wicked.  I’m testing to make sure everything works like it’s supposed to.  Seems like it.  I like the new theme in the CP too. Clean and pretty.

Today is the last Monday that I will ever have this job.  My last day is Saturday the 30th. I am excited and sad all at the same time.  Change is good. I’ve been working every day, though, since last Monday and I don’t have a day off until Sunday of this week.  Yeah, that day after my last day. :-) It’s not as bad as it sounds, but I’m certainly ready for a break.

Busy, busy, busy.
