People say I look a lot like my mom, and these pictures don’t do anything to diminish that belief.  School pictures, side by side, of the two of us at 11 years of age.  I remember going to school that day, so excited because it was picture day.  I was wearing this amazing scarf that looked SO cool with that jacket. Somehow getting from the car, into the school I LOST that amazing scarf and I ended up wearing a white shirt and a black jacket.  I HATE those lazer things in the background though. Mom’s picture is much classier.  Note my wicked cool earings, and my stupid turned in collar. (the first was SO planned, the second not so much.) My picture is from the fall of 1989. (Or possibly spring of 90 - not sure when they look the pictures back then.) (This picture has notes - check them out.)

I totally posted new pictures today in my Flickr Stream. (see below) They’re actually old, but whatever. I’m still trying to keep up with my 365 project even though I don’t have a working digital camera anymore. Pictures are fun. I love scanning the old ones in and posting them. :-) Do you do a 365 project or have a flickr stream?

Thirteen Things about Luka 1. I’ve never lived with anyone but my family and my husband.  I had roommates in college, in the residence halls, but that hardly counts. 2. I used to want to be called Elizabeth. I even had people call me that. I think only one person did it. (I like my real name a lot now though.) 12. Ok.  This pink, green, black, gray and white thing is MUCH more to my liking. Lemme know if anything is wonky, O tay?  Oh, and this is the only layout you get right now.  Hopefully you love it, but you can always read my site via the feed. (see the cute lil button in the sidebar?) I’ve added my Powce feed to the top there, and my flickr photos are right below this top entry.  (On Pownce I am SaturdayLuka.) The ad links at the very tip top of the page are supposed to fade into the background, so that’s an on purpose weirdo bit.  Another new thing I added to the side bar is a link to a new page I created for my del.icio.us links.  Cute lil image for that link too. I have it set to display the last 100, so there’s a heckuva lot of stuff in there right now. I’m trying to get “the thingy” - yes that IS the term they use - to post the links I’ve added to my blog every night - but as of yet it’s not working. (On del.icio.us my user name is SaturdayLuka) I’ve even added a handy dandy comment form - EZ ‘Tact - o - Mail form - although I do still need to add an email image - cause sometimes capthca is awful.  (Noelle taught me that.) Oh, I think I’ve got it set up right to display the search all the time, but somebody may want to test it to see if you can search for anything.  I may have missed that box or something.

So. *looks around sheepishly* What do you think?

I’ve gone back the pre-Blogathon layout.  I am working on a brand new layout, but it’s taking longer that I’d wanted.  Trying to add in some new features, and get rid of some others. This probably only makes a difference to me, but I am pretty much looking at my blog all the time so....  This pink layout was good when I first put it up, but it never was quite what I wanted. The Blogathon layout was closer, and I’m in the process of editing it all up. I would have just left it up, but I messed up the layout with the color and image changes, that it just looked like crap.  My pictures are back at the top now, and I’ve started posting 365 again. I’m still trying to decide if I want two sidebars, or just one.  My laptop screen is so wide it look like an awful lot of wasted space if I use just one. You’ll see I guess, we both will.

I fully recognize this post is totally meta. And not just meta in that blog way. But meta in that “no one else in the world cares for it like SHE cares about it way.” I mean, who wants to read about the little minutiae of the layout of this blog. At least I didn’t bore you with the details of the LOOK I’m trying to go for or anything. That would have been really boring. ;-)
