Whoops. I forgot about the song of the day. Now it’s too late. Tonight when I get home I’ll try to post it, but my battery is on 23% (31 min) and I can’t get it to charge. I need to call Best Buy and see if thing is still under warranty. We’ve had it less than a year. I loathe to take it into the shop though. What if it takes a long time? What if I loose things? Oh my goodness! :( So, yeah, major distraction. Sorry I didn’t get it done. Next week, *crosses fingers*
This morning I had some oatmeal. Oh, and orange juice (Rum Free) However, yesterday I didn’t have breakfast. I jsut slept in until after noon and then had eggs and pork chops for lunch. Typically during the week I have some breakfast, even if it’s just a bagel & a glass of milk. Even more infrequently I stop and get some Starf*cuks coffee treat, and bakery good. How about you? Are you one of those people that eat a big breakfast, every day, like we’re all supposed to? :-) Or do you just have coffee and run on adrenaline until lunch? Make a choice - it’s Monday. :-) Thanks!
This one is just me - gone all fimly and glam - showin off my new style. I talk a lot while answering the 12 questions posed by rolphert.
If you know me, you should know that I’m a BIG fan of covers. I guess it’s that Love variations on a theme. I am a creature of habit by definition, and that’s what inspired todays song choice. I sort of randomly picked the Cat Stevens song - The First Cut Is The Deepest, cause I know the song has been covered several times. I have the original in my collection and I went to the YT and found four covers. 2 women and 2 men. First up, listen to the track “The First Cut Is The Deepest” as done by Cat Stevens. His is the original. The First Cut Is the Deepest” is a 1967 song written and sung by Cat Stevens. It has become a hit single for four different artists: P.P. Arnold (1967), Keith Hampshire (1973), Rod Stewart (1977), and Sheryl Crow (2003), with the last two being the most widely known. (Dang, I counted like 30 something covers on that Wiki!) As an added bonus, treat, thing ah mm bob - four you tube videos : “The First Cut Is The Deepest” by Sheryl Crow “The First Cut Is The Deepest” by James Morrison, and “The First Cut Is The Deepest” by Linda Ronstadt! And as a super special treat, one that hopefully you’ve give at least a chance, a YT video of an nonPro doing the track. A YT user by the name of Lillyanne3579. I hope you enjoy these 5 songs today! :-) Well, these 5 versions of the SAME song! :-)

So, I’m a big fan of the BBC show Torchwood, right? One of the characters on there (Captain Jack*) is, essential for all intents and purposes, immortal. His life story is already complicated and he’s one of the most secretive characters ON The show - but we know very little real things about him. Bits and pieces really. I’m not gonna get to into his life story, but it did get me thinking. Would you rather be immortal or know when you’re going to die? It does seem like an incongruous choice, but whatever, I make the rules here. :-) So, there’s your choice. Now make it, ‘cause it’s Monday ;-) thanks y’all!
*Big crush on the character AND the actor. He’s got a really REALLY nice face! :-)
Earlier this week I was sick. I didn’t do Make a choice Monday - or Tuesday Tuneage. (They’ll be back next week.) I just can’t believe It’s Thursday. Here’s a vlog I did yesterday.
My first attempt with a cooking video!
Pumpkin Muffins
1 box of cake mix (spice, carrot cake, or chocolate)
1 can of plain pumpkin
1 can of water
¼ - ½ cup of mini-chocolate chips (optional)
this video, in my humble opinion, defies description! :-)
So, you might not know this about me, but one of my favorite artists, of all time, is Weird Al. He’s just great! He does three kinds of songs. 1) he does parodies of songs - like Girls Just Wanna Have Lunch & White and Nerdy. Where he takes the original melody and writes new words. 2) Polka Medlys - like Bohemian Polka & Polka Your Eyes Out & Polkas on 45 where he makes one song out of many contemporary songs and puts them all in a polka medly format! Wicked stuff! Lastly, and more to the point, is 3) original works. He’s done a quite a few of these actually. Dare To Be Stupid, I’ll be Mellow When I’m Dead, Don’t Wear Those Shoes, & One More Minute. That’s the song I’m sharing today for the Tuesday Tuneage. It’s Weird Al’s - One More Minute. It’s from his DARE TO BE STUPID album that was released in 1985. I remember listening to this over & over on my walkman! Dancing around, slowly, of course. Doing a sort little sort of doowop dance. It’s a good one. The imagery is pretty keen too. ;-) And I burned down the malt shop where we used to go / Just because it reminds me of you (dippity dippity doo) I put the video in the extended, along with a couple of vids for the other songs! ;-) I hope you enjoy this Tuesday Tuneage! :-) Happy Tuesday! :-)
oh, and p.s. if you haven’t already, check out Colin’s Monday Tunez! ;-)
