Last year I did the Blogathon and it was wicked fun. This year they aren’t having one which is sad. But - the people at Project Blog are doing a “mini blogathon-like event” to keep people in the 24 hour blogging habit :)

I have signed up and today I finally picked a charity. I will be blogging for amfAR - The American Foundation for AIDS Research. 

I chose this charity for many reasons - not all I will share.  When I was in HS I participated in a program called Teens TAP (teens teaching AIDS prevention.) It was a call in phone line that I volunteered at one a weekly basis. I answered the lines and took questions about HIV & AIDS and various other things. It was am amazing experience. More recent events helped me pick this charity - but at this time they are too personal to divulge.

Want to know how you can help?  It’s really pretty simple. You pledge your money by creating an account at the project-blog site, and then after the event I send you the contact information and you send your money to the charity.  I will never see any of it. It’s totally on the up and up.  Once you’ve created your account you can go to the Sponsor page and select my blog (Incogblogo.net.) It’s pretty easy to do. Can’t you spare just a few bucks or two? Every little bit helps.

OrangeHairedBoy and I are actually doing this together.  At the top of the hour (since we post twice an hour) we will post at our own blogs - and then at the bottom we will post at each others. We have picked a theme for one site, but not the other.  Once we’ve nailed that all down we’ll share all the details :) Trust me - it’s wicked fun to watch someone blog for 24 hours straight :) Go sign up already :)
