So, this Saturday I’m doing an All Request Theme on the Saturday Morning Show. I know I usually wait till Thursday to share the theme, but since I need your input I’m doing it today - Monday.
So, here’s the deal. I’m doing all Request Show - hopefully next week - possibly on the 16th if I can’t get my computer back from the shop in time. I haven’t done one before because I always thought I didn’t have enough music. I actually still feel that way - I’ve just decided to bite the bullet and buys ones I don’t have. I’m working on a full play list now, so you’ll be able to see what I’ve got. But even I don’t have it, I’ll try to find it so I can play it! :-) Any Genre, any artist, any title! :-) Of course, being me, I’ve got to “Luka” up a bit. :-) Basically I want two (up to six) requests from you, on this theme.
One Positive Memory Song Request
One Negative Memory Song Request
So, if you wanna do 2 positive - you gotta do 2 negative. :-) You don’t have to tell me which is which, or anything about the memories unless you want to - and I’ll prolly share that on the show, so there’s no reason for you to not make a request. I’ll even give you an example
Happy - “I Got a Girl” by Tripping Daisy. Working at WOF in the 90’s was like hanging out with friends all day. Especially at lunch with the music playing. :-)
Sad - “I Believe I Can Fly” by R. Kelly. In 1998 my cousin Mike took his own life his sisters played this song at his funeral. :-(
Now, be kind to yourself. Don’t request anything that would make you bat-shit-crazy - ala Tom Cruise or sob-uncontrollably-until-dry-heaving - ala Kate Cruise the nite before her wedding when she was still Kate Cruise, but no longer KatIE. I can’t handle the pressure. And you just shouldn’t put yourself thru that. Still, I want the requests, and you can make them! ;-)
See what I’ve got on my big Playlist! :-)
Please Note! Even if the song isn’t already on my list - make the request. I can always download it. I need to beef up my collection anyway! :-)
* Stuff Like That There ~ Bette Midler(I have it, if you need it): That's my positive. I love the movie it's from. (For The Boys) It reminds me of an era that I adore, and It's probably my most favorite song to sing.
* Good Morning Beautiful is my "sad memory" My ex who recent;y died used to sing that too me every morning, and since he just died it's probably the most recent negative memory associated with a song. That's ok though. =)
