5 years ago: In July of 2000, I turned down a job in Kentucky because my employer offered me more money to stay where I was at. I loved being a truss designer and the boost in salary made it sweeter. One autum day, my sister called to tell me about a job posting that just came across her desk. That Project Construction Manager position is one that I had coveted for years. I was hired in October and started the job in December.

1 year ago: Summer had been cooler than normal and I was looking forward to spending weekends at camp using the ATVs. My boyfriend and I moved his daughter to New York to attend college. His truck was packed with all of her things leaving me just a sliver of room in the back seat.

Yesterday: I stayed home from work because I had an excruciating headache for two days. I mostly slept and chatted on the computer. Once the headache subsided some, I mowed my front yard and cleaned my kitchen from top to bottom .. except I got lazy before mopping the floor and putting away the dishes.

Today: Mop the floor, put away the dishes, then wait for my resident brother to get home with my truck and ATV which he’s had while working out-of-town for three weeks. I may go to the pound and get a dog.
