Oh I Had A Million Dollars
Avatar for {name}

... but I, I spent it all :(

Buenos dias!! I’m Katie, you might know me from Kat Scratch Fever, but most of you have probably never heard of me hehe.

This morning I went to the coffee shop to get “the usual” (read: a medium hazelnut au lait w/ whole milk and 3 packs of sugar and 1 pack of equal). And when I got there.. the hazelnut coffee wasn’t ready yet! *gasp* They made it with the light coffee and put a shot of hazelnut syrup in it but it’s totally not the same. I’m hoping this isn’t a sign of things to come. Messing with my coffee is a bad start to my weekend.

So, besides visiting me, you guys should also go visit my friend Sonia and leave her a comment. She just got her domain set up, yay!

That is all. *drinks coffee and pouts*

If I had a movie of my life…
Avatar for {name}

Hello all!  It’s Suki from .  Just taking part in one of these Free For All Fridays!

Now on to the question, If there’s a movie about your life, who would you want cast as you? I WOULD want MYSELF to play my part.  Who knows me better than myself!? HMM?  PLUS, there aren’t a whole lot of Asian actresses out there who could fill my big 10.5-11 shoes.  Haha.  :)

Sadly, I don’t have much else to add to this.  A movie about me would definitely be quite long and boring… I mean, just look at my blog - not much going on there.  :p Now all I can hope for is a more exciting life so that a movie made about it would actually be worth watching!  WOOO!

Happy Friday, all.

Titan Quest

Hi everyone, Yoshi here. Normally I blog over at hello! yoshi, but since it is free for all friday, I’m going to post here. Free for all Friday is set up at my blog too, so please be sure to go over there and blog something! :)

So what’s the latest craze? Titan Quest. Titan Quest is a game developed by these great guys at THQ. I know what you’re saying. “Yoshi, what’s it all about?” Sit back and I’ll tell you.

In Ancient Greece, apparently shortly after the days of Hercules (and probably Xena too), there was… you. You are a young warrior/rogue/spellcaster that is on a quest to find out the source of the satyrs and monsters. What’s going on? So basically in true diablo fashion, you click your way through all the monsters, all the treasure to get phat loot and phat experience.

Holy cow, this is a time waster. Seriously, I thought diablo was bad, think of Titan Quest as Diablo on steroids. That’s pretty much it. Although I will have to say this game is a lot easier. Kind of a bummer.

Ok, this is short, but you know I don’t want to write a book here. :)

Up With People: Bringing The World Together
Avatar for {name}

Go Blogathon!

This is Tiara, normally blogging at EducateDeviate (and a few other places). EducateDeviate is all about alternative education - learning out of the box, out of the 4 walls of school, learning by experience and engagement.

The charity I’m blogging for fully represents that spirit. Up With People is a Denver-based non-profit that organizes global education programs for young adults around the world. Youths 18-29 travel to different cities in various continents for about 6 months, spending a week in each city. In the city they work on various community service projects (ranging from the environment to helping to homeless to even learning about local media!), explore the city, learn about regional and international issues, interact with different cultures, learn leadership and professional skills, and put on a performance that combines culture, music, dance, speech, sign language, and multimedia with the messages of peace and understanding.

Yes they’re the group that performed on the Superbowl. They did get parodied by The Simpsons and South Park. But really, they’re tons of fun and such a grand experience.

I was a student on Up With People last year (Fall 05) and I had the time of my life - I travelled with 55 amazing people from 27 countries and had once-in-a-lifetime experiences. I really support what they’re doing and hope to get the word out!

Please sponsor us! Your donation goes towards scholarships, operations, and helping to bring UWP to more places and people around the world. Every little bit helps.

Thank you and see you on Blogathon!

B*B, Tiara

She won’t be so much famous

So I was going to tell you how horrid vertigo is.  Not the song, but the condition that comes with an inner ear infection.

However, my cat is nuts and I decided to tell you about that instead.  My cat actually lives at my mom’s house, where I am currently due to the vertigo and fear of falling (also for her DSL for Blogathon tomorrow).  My mom has a baby gate on the stairs leading up to the attic so that the cat, but not the dog, can get upstairs.  They keep the cat’s food on the stairs, and everyone is happy.

However, my cat likes to chase things.  Mostly she chases bare flesh in which to sink her claws, but when we’ve all covered our skin, she chases her tail.  This is normally entertaining enough, but this time was special.  She got on top of the baby gate, and flopped her body down on one side, and kept her back legs and tail on the other side.  So then - she chased her tail *through the baby gate*.  I told you the cat was nuts.  I thought we were all going to fall out of our chairs laughing.  Granted, with the vertigo that was a possibility for me anyway - but that’s not the point!

As for blog pimping - I’m over at The Fat Girl Blog and I’m blogging for the great and wonderful Modest Needs.  They give one time gifts of money to people who are living paycheck to paycheck and are faced with an unexpected expense that could enter them into a cycle of poverty that they can’t get out of.  Also, this whole year, all donations to Modest Needs are going to be matched by a private organization that wishes to not be named just yet.  So - if you can help them out, that would be lovely!

My sponsor link is here.  Have a lovely day!
