So, I was thinking about how I could get people to listen to The Saturday Morning Show. I know that listening live is really mostly for the TRULY MADCORE of you, so I record every show, Publish and Syndicate it! I publish on Hipcast (www.hipcast.com) and publish the feeds with FeedBurner and iTunes. If you use iTunes click this image. ** If you Don’t already have iTunes installed I figured out another way that you could subscribe. You can use the Google Reader and subsribe to the Feed. It may sound complicated, but I assure you - it’s not! ;-)

The best part is, once you’re subscribed all you have to do is log in and the episodes will show up. I usually publish right after the show is over, but since I may have to work or do some editing on the show, I will only guarantee that they will be posted by 9pm EST. All you have to do to get, and listen to the 2 (or +) hour show is log into your Google Reader Account. Once in, you can listen and pause the show, and surf around and do other stuff. This is seriously easy. I’ve written out simple directions and even posted some pictures.

This week’s theme was Alphabetical order by Artist. I jump all over the map, but I think I played some good tunes! I’ve edited this podcast to remove the dead air, and fix the volume on my voice for some of it. The total show time is 2 hours 24 min and 01 sec. I do my theme to completion, and don’t worry about time so much! It’s a good time and I hope you enjoy it!

Update : No show. I couldn’t get things to work, and I’m not dealing with this splitting headache anymore, and nobody wants to listen to me hurl on air.

I may not be able to do a show this morning. It’s currently 2:54 am, and my laptop (not the new one, but hubbies, but the only one we have) has apparently decided to stop reading it’s power source. It’s no bueno, but hopefully it’s something we can fix down the road. In the mean time I downloaded Winamp and Shoutcast to this old clunker of a desk top. I did a test run tonight, and while I sounded normal I couldn’t get the music to play. From either iTunes or from winamp. I had this problem last weekend too, it took me fucking 52 minutes to get the dang music to play. But wouldn’t you know it - I can’t remember where that little box was that caused SO much freaking trouble. So, In the end, I might not be able to do my show. Cause, well, no one REALLY wants to listen to me just TALK for two hours. I’m gonna try to get up before the show and try it some more, when I’m not so near tears. Cause this shit blows. Two weeks looking forward to it, and then, bam, slam, nothing!

I think I’m going to go cry myself to sleep now.

I’m getting my own Radio Show! I’m just calling it The Saturday Morning Show I will be broadcasting live on ThatStation Radio Live starting one week from today! I will have three live shows in September. The 2nd, the 16th and the 30th During the show there’s a ”really ugly” chatroom to use. And I’ll be in there, asking for feedback and maybe even taking dedications and questions for my 8ball! The show will mostly be music, from the Rock/Alternative categories. With a lil bit of other stuff mixed. (I put the last playlist in the extended!) My plan to make each show a bit of a soundtrack! By either defining a theme by topic, or genre, or memories attached. Whatever. I just hope that people listen and have a good time! It’s at a weird time, I know - and it’s odd that it’s every other week. At least the every other week this is temporary! The odd time of day, I picked on purpose! (A story for another post!) I’ve got a really easy way for you to remember the show too! I’ve got a reminder list set up, just put your email in the box and you’re all set. (This box only appears on the default skin right now, sorry.) This list is powered by EE, so when the time comes I’ll just jot off an email to remind you to listen! So, sign up, listen and hopefully we’ll BOTH have a good time!
