Say you found out that your best friend, by some amazing set of coincidences, was your sibling.  What would your reaction be?

I just cant win with this blog thing. First I try and fix the htaccess myself cause I was just so sick of the spam. I though I’d fixed it. But I blocked nearly everyone. Now I’m trying to fix it a little manually and I’ve blocked real people AND I’ve made the spam just that much worse.  For every ONE real ref hit I get 10 fucking spam ones. It’s enough to make a girl wanna change her URL and start over. Fucking A. I can’t win. I either have so much spam I can’t see straight or I block people who actually DO want to see the site! Gah! On top of all my broken Feeds. The ones that I changed the URL for, and then the ones that went down when I took mysite offline the other day to upgrade it. (Which ALSO didnt help the spam.) I’ve still got some errors on the CP site of my site too. Damnit. I fucking hate this blog right now.

updated to add : I decided to uninstal the referal module.  maybe that will make em stop, at least for a little bit, and then maybe they’ll get the hint and stop forever.  we’ll see.  at least this way ive stopped obsessively checking for more spam.

I was one NOTE away from being done with that ENTIRE record and my work processing thingy froze and died. I though for SURE I’d saved before that. But Nooooooo I, apparently, hadn’t saved ONCE since I started the record.  45 fucking minutes ago.

Updated to Add : Turns out I HAD saved it, at least ONCE. I got the date and the FIRST record saved. Now I just have to back and rewrite the other SIX and I’ll be done with the FIRST of 5 records I am supposed to finish today.  On my OWN time.  These should have been done a week ago, but I just can’t bring myself to write them up. It’s so much work, on my own time, trying to remember and recount things I’d had a hard time remembering WHILE they were happening. 

I just spent the last 45 min on the phone with our cable comany.  (Let’s call them Light Mouse) I’d been trying to get online since about 10:30am, and I couldn’t.  I reset the modem, twice, and unplugged everything twice as well. I got the hubby up and he came down and helped me clean up the wires, and then we called Light Mouse again.  Turns out that there is some “noise” in our line and they need to send a tech to come look at it. Our appointment is set for Monday between 11 and 2.  As SOON as I hung up the phone I looked down at the cable light and saw that it was steady on, so I opened up my FF and tried to login again. It worked.  LOL Hubby and I have decided to wait to cancel to appt until we know it won’t go out again. Cause I think it’s an intermittent problem and they need to come check it out anyway. They’re going to try and find an appt time either tomorrow or Saturday though, if they can. So hopefully I won’t have to deal with this crap on Monday as well. It’s just too funny. I was going to write a little text message post, but now I don’t have to.  (That reminds me, I need to figure out what’s up with the Audioblog code not posting correctly. I always have to go in and edit it.  Doesn’t work so well with actual ON-The-Go posts that way. Boo!)

Seriously. I fix the thingy in the stats in the side bar. I break the members login. No one can login to comment, thus fixing the stats this was totally for nothing. Crap. Just crapdiddily do dah fantastic.

of COURSE I fix some things and then yet another thing breaks. It’s been the pattern.  People can log in now, so far so good. Then all of a sudden my blog isn’t accepting new registrations.  I click where its says YES to that but every time I hit update, it resets to NO. Crap tastic. 

One year ago today I paid 2.21 for regular unleaded. {link} A year before that I was paying 1.81 a gallon. {link} I got gas on Friday (twice) and paid 2.98 at one place and 2.68 (at Satans Five and Dime.) They (and I dont realy know who THEY are) say that it’s gonna make it up to 4 bucks a gallon at some point this summer. It’s just disguisting. Oil Companies are making RECORD fucking profits and I’m still paying out the freaking ARM for gasoline!  What are you payin for gas in YOUR neck of the woods rigt now? Doing anything to help use LESS gas?  Cause I’m trying to just DRIVE less but with driving being a part of my job, it’s a little hard. It blows big of firey chunks of ass.

Damn case notes. I fucking hate this shite. Gotta take my personal time to work on work things and not get paid for it AND not get paid until i finish it. Blows big chuncks.
