So we got this note on our door Friday. An “Urgent Pet Owners Notice.” Apparently we pay “pet rent” at the rate of an additional 10 bucks a month. That’s new. We just signed our lease a couple weeks ago and they didn’t mention it then.  I wonder if when we get our new kitty if the fee will be 20 bucks a month.  Who knows. The note also says that they’re going to be checking pets on premises and inside the apartments. I wonder if that means they’re gonna just start coming into all apartments to check if they’ve got pets.  Apparently the “pet situation is getting out of hand.”

Pets are doing their business all over the property and the smell is becoming stagnating. We are getting complaints from parents that their children cannot play outside in the courtyards due to pet land minds everywhere and it is a health concern.

I have a cat. My cat doesn’t do her business anywhere except her litter box. It’s really sort of irritating that they are lumping my sweet indoor girl with the poopers outside.  I’ve noticed the poop out there too, but I just walk around it. I guess if I had a kid out there I might be irritated.  We’ve got a lady who keeps her dog outside her apt, in the back, on a chain like it’s a back yard.  It’s irritating but I’ve not complained. People need to pick up their DOG’S poop. Those are the only animals that I see out there too. So it’s frustrating to have to be on edge about people coming into my apt to check that my pet is valid (which she is, we’ve got her big ass red ass tag on too.) My luck, they’ll come check RIGHT after we bring the baby home and we’ll have to fork over another 150 bucks for nothing.  Shittay.
