If you know me, you should know that I’m a BIG fan of covers. I guess it’s that Love variations on a theme.  I am a creature of habit by definition, and that’s what inspired todays song choice. I sort of randomly picked the Cat Stevens song - The First Cut Is The Deepest, cause I know the song has been covered several times. I have the original in my collection and I went to the YT and found four covers.  2 women and 2 men.  First up, listen to the track “The First Cut Is The Deepest” as done by Cat Stevens. His is the original. The First Cut Is the Deepest” is a 1967 song written and sung by Cat Stevens. It has become a hit single for four different artists: P.P. Arnold (1967), Keith Hampshire (1973), Rod Stewart (1977), and Sheryl Crow (2003), with the last two being the most widely known. (Dang, I counted like 30 something covers on that Wiki!)
