i finally got a new swim suit. i hadn’t purchased a new one since before I got married - it had been about 3 three years. on Wednesday it was soo farking hot outside that I HAD to go swimming. since I was with a client I just hopped into Wal-Mart and got one. Its a faux tankini with a wicked Hawaiian print. i had to do some...creative tailoring...with it on the front. it was really low cut - think the green j.lo dress low cut - and that just wasn’t cool when swimming with my guys.* the Mr. Q™ helped me add two little hook and eye clasps to the front. the twins are little more secure now. my last suit had a really high front - and was totally great for keeping the twins all hidden. but i had to get what i could get when i was getting it. you know what I mean?
the guys* and I went swimming on Friday and about 1/2 hour after we got there a group of teenagers came into the pool. it was 4 guys and 1 girl. at first i thought they were going to be really annoying - jumping into the pool and making a general nuisance of themselves. but as it turns out they were really funny to watch. the guys kept playing chicken while running on the lip of the pool - acting very silly. they seemed to all be very good natured kids. it was a refreshing experience really. which is weird - cause usually a large group of teens at a pool usually ruins the time for me. it was a totally pleasant experience - even with all the the jumping into the pool and the yelling. i almost forgot how old I really am.
I’m recovering from a sunburn from Friday’s trip to the pool. we were only out there for an hour (from 3 - 4) but I guess i got quite a bit of sun. im really glad I had my guys* wear t shirts to cover their top halves. I came home and was getting ready to go out to a friends place and I was excited to show the Mr. Q™ my “tan” lines. I pulled off my shirt and said “honey - check out my tan lines.” and he says “ those aren’t tan lines - they’re burn lines.” I looked in the mirror and my whole check, upper back and arms and face was alll red. like bright red. they’re still sore but barely red at all. hopefully it’s morph into a little caramel color before fading back to pasty white.
