Guess what? I didn’t forget FFAF this time around!  :-P

10 years ago, first quarter of 1995, I was 16 then. I worked in a supermarket as a lowly paid cashier. Back then, it seemed fairly reasonable, but now when I look back, it’s in fact kinda low! Anyway, it was my first temp job while waiting to start my Polytechnic studies. There were three of us temp cashiers. The interesting part of it was that all three of us were guys, and it’s not exactly a common sight to see male cashiers ... in supemarkets!  :lol: I had my first taste of real work, and the meaning of “money doesn’t fall from the sky”.

5 years ago, in the year 2000. I just turned 21, and had the unfortunate luck of spending it in the army! I had just gotten together with my first girlfriend barely half a year ago. Inbetween life in the army and being with her, it was literally bitter and sweet - bittersweet. As a popular song went “Opposites Attract”, it also holds true that opposites do infact, repel. Little did I know that the latter did indeed happen, three years later.

1 year ago, in May 2004. I fell in love with the place called Nepal. One of the best trips I’ve ever been on. Gave me the combined experience of trekking in dung, sand, rocks and snow, with temperatures ranging from 30 dec celcius to a little below 0. First time I’ve been away from home for more than a month, with only my friends for company. I’ve never looked back since. More trips to come, I can be sure of that!  :coolsmirk:
